My Story

Once Upon a Time

My story starts out as a poster child of the American Dream. I come from humble beginnings. Through some serious hard work and willpower, I overcame many obstacles to ultimately arrive as an honors graduate of an Ivy League institution debt-free at 21, the world seemingly at my feet. I had just about everything I had sacrificed and worked so hard for my entire life at that moment – a fantastic first job, a great apartment in the city, wonderful friends, many talents, cool travel plans, etc. And yet as I reached this new peak, the view that I thought would feel so complete and wonderful instead mainly consisted of burnout and anxiety. A feeling of not-enough-ness. I then pondered, why have it all if I can’t even appreciate it and the definition of “all” is simply a moving target?

The natural human response to such a conundrum is to keep going up the mountain as the solution (e.g., maybe if I just get promoted or get a better apartment etc.) and/or to find an alternative solution (some of which can be healthy, some not so much). Luckily for me, I chose one of the healthy alternative solutions as a starting point, and this pivotal moment propelled me into a passion for all things health and wellness. I went plant-based, lost weight, got in shape, turned fitness and food into a practice of self love rather than self hate, started getting more in touch with my inner experience through yoga, meditation, journaling, and more. I explored what a life of “balance” might look like for me after living a life that was very much out of balance for so long.

I certainly made a lot of progress and became a go-to inspiration for some of my friends and family. I felt better too. But a lot of the change that happens in life that’s noticeable happens on the surface, and I still felt like I was missing something on a deeper level. I still felt a lot of anxiety and discontent that was imperceptible to those around me. We’ve all been there – whatever tip of the iceberg those around us see can look very different at times from what’s underneath the water. And in this case, the tip of the iceberg looked great, but under the water in this metaphorical ocean I deeply yearned for a different experience with life.

Then during the pandemic, there was a particular time period where I felt lower than I’d felt in awhile. I was incredibly frustrated that I felt like I’d tried everything possible… and yet I still didn’t feel content, I hadn’t reached certain goals, and I had so much anxiety. It was around this time I then found out about the first of the methods I now utilize in my coaching practice through a fortuitous rabbit hole on the Internet. Within a week of implementing it regularly, my entire inner experience started to turn around. I felt newfound freedom, open-mindedness, and expansion.

Since then, I’ve delved deeply into studying and applying the most powerful methods available for living a life of greater ease, fulfillment, alignment, and peace. Somewhere along the way, I felt so deeply moved by the impact this work has had that I uncovered a new purpose: to share these transformational methods with others and positively impact humanity in discovering deeper fulfillment and peace.

What I’ve come to experience as I’ve explored this inner work is that much of the transformation is about shifting our inner relationship with what’s happening in life. As we do this, we realize what we’re striving for is not really about achieving a goal but rather about being able to be okay no matter what comes our way. In the process, natural clarity arises from within about what still matters, and the doing of what does matter typically finds more ease. While tending to our inner landscape has no guarantees on external outcomes, we often see remarkable and surprising shifts in all aspects of life.

Now, as my story continues to unfold and the waves on the surface of the ocean that is my life come and go (because I’m still having a human experience, after all), what’s underneath is now a greater recognition of an ever expanding peace.

Thank you for reading my story. I look forward to whatever ways I can connect with you and support you in your transformation journey toward greater alignment, fulfillment, peace, and well-being.

Let’s Work Together.
